Professional Background
John L. Gile's career includes over twenty years of leadership experience in the philanthropic, political, and charitable communities. John has served in leadership positions at the Muscular Dystrophy Association and, for fifteen years, as the Chief Executive Officer of Project Angel Food in Los Angeles.
Since the establishment of John L. Gile & Associates, Inc., the company has signed contracts with numerous national, statewide, and local not for profit agencies. John currenlty works from offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC. He serves as Co-Chair of Hillary Clinton for President, Co-Chair of the DNC LGBT Leadership Committee, and is President of the Friends of Runyon Foundation. John also served on the LGBT Leadership Committee for the Obama for America 2012 Campaign.
John served on the Board of Governors of the Human Rights Campaign (1996-1999). He is the founding board chair of the Association of Nutrition Services Agencies, a national advocacy and member support organization, and served as President of the Board from 1995-2000. He was chair of the board of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program in Los Angeles from 1996-2000. EFSP is a federally funded program administered by the United Way, and distributes over $10 million each year to not for profit organizations.
John has worked closely on fundraising campaigns for mayoral, congressional, and national political campaigns.
John L. Gile and Associates has a close network of individuals and is currently involved with organizations in Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and New York City. John also spends time each year at his historic family home in Franklin, New Hampshire.
